The purpose of this research is to compare the mathematics curriculum of Korea and France in elementary level. We have found some meaningful differences. First, Korean textbooks are under control of government and aims at uniformity, whereas French textbooks aims at diversity. Second, in regards of contents, Korean textbooks are characterized as linear, formal, French textbooks are spiral, real life based.
