The purpose of this paper is to measure satisfaction and to find optimal distance between urban public service facilities and their useres.
To do this, a significant review with regard to the location-allocation classfications of public service facilities, the measures of satisfaction were conducted, computer software packages, called Weibull were used to measure the satisfaction of the existing public service facilities located in Nam-gu area, Teagu.
The results of this research are as follows :
In the case of lower-post office and lower-police office, the optimal distances of their facilities were found within 830m, and 740m with the 80% of people who are satisfied with public service facilities
In the case of higher-post office and higher-police office, the optimal distances of their facilities were found within 2090m and 2110m.
In the case of higher-fire engine, lower-fire engine and ambulance were found within 4.9 minutes, 17.5 minutes, 6.86 minutes.
This results also indicate that the soft packages are useful to measure the satifaction between residential location and public service facilities and to find optimal distances of public service facilities.
