2003년도 칼데콧상(Caldecott Awards) 수상도서 분석 및 시사점

국문 초록 (Abstract)

칼데콧 수상 도서는 주로 다문화 이해와 다른 사람 이해를 주제로 하고 있어 세계적으로 다문화 이해를 위한 공감대를 형성하고 있는 사안으로 인식되고 있다. 2003년도 칼데콧 수상작은 예년도와는 달리 다문화 이해보다는 한 걸음 더 나아가 더불어 살아가는 21세기의 서로 다른 독특성을 인정하되, 갈등과 유혹, 그리고 약육강식의 측면도 있는 지구촌 삶의 양상을 드러내 준다고 볼 수 있다. 또한 이러한 2003 칼데콧 수상도서들은 어린이들의 언어 학습 경험을 증진하는데 필요한 반복과 예측이 있는 문장으로 되어 있어 이러한 그림책들을 활용하여 총체적 언어에 대한 통합적 교수 계획을 세워 어린이들에게 유익한 경험이 되도록 이끌어준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Caldecott Awards books are appreciated as making the consensus for the understanding multi-culture, making the understands multi-culture and other peoples as it's theme. Most of Caldecott Awards Books in 2003, accept the uniqueness among the different beings in 21 Century different from the ones in the previous years focused or the understanding the multi-culture. And they show the aspects of contemporary global life whose characteristics are conflicts and temptation, and the fittest of the survival. And the same time, the sentences of Caldecott Awards Books include such a structure of repetition and expectation. That they can improve the experience of children's language learning. As a result, We can utilize such books for the integrated teaching for whole language.
