포스트모더니즘 시대의 선교적 해석학의 중요성 = The Importance of Missional Hermeneutics in the Postmodern Age

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 포스트모더니즘의 해석학적 위기로 인한 선교적 해석학의 중요성을논의하는 데 목적이 있다. 역사적으로 모더니즘의 도전은 선교신학의 급진적인 변천을 가져왔고, 아울러 포스트모더니즘적 인식론은 선교신학의 축을 담당하는 성경해석학에 상당한 영향을 끼침으로써 다양한 선교적 해석학의 구조(Framework) 를 양산했다. 특별히 독자반응 비평의 해석학은 독자가 경험을 통해 얻은 ‘실제’(reality)를 본문(Text)에 의미를 부여하고 해석함으로써 본문의 최종의미를 완성하는데, 이것은 원저자의 의도와는 달리 본문을 독자의 요구에 따라 자의적으로해석된다. 이런 해석방식은 성경을 해석할 시 지나치게 개인의 주관적 해석을 수용함으로써 원저자인 하나님의 의도를 무시하고, 통일성 있는 성경의 진리를 거부한다. 이런 성경해석학에서의 독자반응 비평은 보수적, 급진적 비평가들의 입장이 존재한다. 전자는 성경의 의미를 해석하기 위해 역사비평과 성경의 원어연구를 존중한다. 반면 후자는 성경을 해석 시 저자의 개입을 원천적으로 차단하고 독자의 주관적인 해석을 적극 수용한다. 결국 독자반응 비평으로 빚어진 성경해석의 위기는궁극적으로 성경의 권위의 훼손시킨다는 데 달려 있다. 따라서 저자는 포스트모더니즘의 시대의 선교신학은 반드시 성경의 권위를 인정한는 성경해석학으로부터비롯되어야 한다고 주장한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this paper is to discuss the importance of missional hermeneutics due to the hermeneutical crisis of postmodernism. Historically, the challenges of modernism have led to radical changes in mission theology, and postmodernist epistemology has exerted a significant impact on biblical interpretation, an axis of mission theology, resulting in many different frameworks of missional hermeneutics. In the hermeneutics of reader-response criticism, in particular, the final meaning of the text is completed when the reader takes the ‘reality’ obtained through experience and gives meaning to the text. This implies that the text is interpreted arbitrarily according to the reader’s request, unlike the original author’s intention. This method of interpretation ignores the intention of God, the original author, by overly accepting individual subjective interpretation when interpreting the Bible, and thus rejects the truth of the unified Bible. Reader-response criticism in such biblical hermeneutics is subject to the opinions of conservative and radical critics. The former respects historical criticism and studies in the original language of the Bible in order to interpret the meaning of the Bible. On the other hand, the latter fundamentally blocks the author’s intervention in interpreting the Bible and actively embraces the subjective interpretation of the reader. The crisis of biblical interpretation is ultimately in the undermining of the authority of the Bible. Therefore, this paper argues that mission theology in the postmodern age must come from biblical hermeneutics that recognizes the authority of the Bible.
