COVID-19 와 공연문화 변화에 관한 조사 연구 = A Study on the COVID-19 and Change in Performance Culture

The COVID-19 situation is still under way, changing human life so far. The situation of COVID-19, which began in February 2020, has shaken the foundation of the performance culture and is impacting the entire performance industry. I think it is time to study the change in the performance culture in situations such as COVID-19 in order to prepare and take measures to minimize damage to the performance industry. This is a survey on the overall performance culture in the COVID-19 situation for university freshmen and venues for performing arts in relation to the change in the performance culture in the COVID-19 situation. As a results, physical efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 were found. Various attempts for non-face-to-face performances using online and a new level of performance culture and individual attitudes toward performance culture were also confirmed. According to the survey of college students, students were classified into three types: Technology-oriented Performance Culture Group, Communication-oriented Performance Culture Group, and Humanity-oriented Performance Culture Group. According to the students' responses, I could know their perception about performance culture in the COVID-19 situation. Since the situation like COVID-19 can be repeated at any time in the future, I would like to propose the need to establish a manual to establish a response system and establish a long-term vision for a desirable performance culture in the future. And it is suggested that there is a need to prepare countermeasures for new and various types of future performance experts.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

COVID-19 상황은 지금까지 인류의 삶을 송두리째 바꾸면서 2020년 현재도 진행 중이다. 2020년 2월을 기점으로 전개된 COVID-19의 상황은 공연문화의 근간을 흔들었고 공연산업 전반에 걸쳐 엄청난 충격을 가하고 있다. 따라서 공연계의 피해를 최소화하기 위한 준비와 대책을 마련하기 위해서는 COVID-19와 같은 상황에서의 공연문화 변화에 대한 조사가 필요한 시점이라고 생각하였다. 본 연구는 COVID-19 상황에서의 공연문화의 변화에 대하여 국내외의 클래식 콘서트 및 관련 공연장, 그리고 공연을 전공하는 대학교 신입생을 대상으로 COVID-19 상황에서의 공연문화 전반에 관하여 조사 연구하고자 한 것이다. 국내외 공연장을 대상으로 한 조사 연구 결과에서는 COVID-19의 확산을 막기 위한 다양한 노력들을 확인할 수 있었다. 온라인을 기반으로 비대면 공연을 위한 다양한 시도들과 새로운 차원의 공연문화와 공연문화에 대한 개인들의 태도 변화 등도 확인할 수 있었다. 대학생들을 대상으로 한 조사에서는 조사대상자의 응답 내용에 따라 테크놀로지(Technology)형 공연문화 지향 그룹, 소통(Communication)형 공연문화 지향그룹 및 휴머니티(Humanity)형 공연문화 지향그룹의 3가지 유형으로 분류할 수 있었고 각 유형별로 COVID-19 상황에서의 공연문화에 대한 대학생들의 인식을 살펴볼 수 있었다. COVID-19와 같은 상황은 미래에도 언제든지 반복될 수 있다는 점에서 대응 체계 구축을 위한 매뉴얼 수립과 바람직한 미래의 공연문화를 위한 장기적인 비전 수립을 제안하고 싶다. 아울러 새롭고도 다양한 형태의 미래형 공연 전문가를 위한 대책 마련 등을 제안하는 바이다.
