깔라뜨라바 작품에 나타나는 키네틱 건축의 특성에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Characteristic of Kinetic Architecture in Works of the Santiago Calatrava

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research is the analysis on Santiago Calatrava’s design works which harmonizes the kinetic of architectural technology with aesthetics in contemporary architecture. The results show that firstly the kinetic of Santiago Calatrava is realistic expressions of the movement. And also it is the movement of the structures. Secondly, his works express the Kinetic Architecture and it comes from the observation about the form of nature, geometry, sculpture. Thirdly, it analysis the structural solutions of the movement. Fourthly, the characteristic of Kinetic Architecture in works of the Santiago Calatrava is realistic and functional expressions in architectural spaces. And also the mechanical motions provide the dramatic effect, multi-function, simultaneity, symbol and formative character of spaces. Finally, the Kinetic Architecture brings up a new type of spaces using the motion of equipments.
