한국 관광환경·트렌드 분석과 전망 = Analysis and Prospect of Korean Tourism Environment and Trend

Internal and external environment and trend of Korean tourism are reviewed in connection with the trend prospects of futurists to set the directions of tourism policies in Korea. Writer cited as the current trend in Korean tourism, steep rise of tourists from China, profusion of Wellness oriented tourism, Nature-friendly tourism behaviors, Glocalization, Social Networks, Luxury tourism and culture tourism.
The writer makes proposals for improvements of Korean tourism policy geared to the contemporary trend:First, we must choose some areas of tourism and concentrate on them seeking quantitative as well as qualitative development of Korean tourism and building infrastructure in consideration of service mind in preparation for the abrupt increase of Chinese tourists and rise of health tourism and wellness tourism.
Second, he emphasizes not only economic target but also the socio-cultural functions of tourism and he thinks that new evaluation model should be developed accordingly.
Third, he also emphasizes the importance of developing unique luxury culture tourism merchandises to for the tourists from all over the world in order to promote the competitiveness of Korean tourism.
