      The purpose of this study is to discuss the point of descriptive type question development for korean language in primary school. The descriptive type assessment was conducted by executing the 2009 national curriculum. But The teachers are unprepared for the descriptive type assessment, because of the study of the descriptive type assessment was few conducted, and it’s conception is not defined. In this study, I investigate the conception of the descriptive type assessment by analyzing the meaning of words and the existing definition. And I proposed essential points to be dully considered in the descriptive type question development that were ① to request the minimum requirement of a text, ② to present some information for content of text ③ to present the form of description, ④ to restrict the quantity of writings, and ⑤ to clarify the request of question. If the teachers would be apply these conception and essential points for descriptive type question development, they will be obtain the results that they wants.
