This paper discusses several problems about consonant clusters. Consonant clusters in initial, medial, and final positions are pronounced the same. They consist of several phonemes, and each phoneme is pronounced separately. Just as clusters of vowels are pronounced as diphthongs and those of three vowels are pronounced as triphthongs, consonant clusters of two consonants are pronounced as double consonants, and those of three consonants are pronounced as triple consonants. Based on the rules of the synthesis of two phonemes, all phonemes, regardless of position, have their individual phonemic values. When the words `eopta (없다)` and `eopko (없고)` are realized as [??psta] and [??psko] and the initial vowel [??] is dropped, they are pronounced [psta] and [psko] in intial positions. Similarly initial consonant clusters `pst(ㅵ)` and `psk(ㅴ)` are created. The fact that the phonemic function of `p-` is relatively dynamic supports the individual realization of each phoneme within a consonant cluster.
