세계태권도한마당의 문화관광축제화 전략Ⅰ- 방향성 및 선결과제를 중심으로 - = The Cultural Tourism Festivalization of the World Taekwondo Hanmadang - Focused on Directionalities and Prerequisites -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study aims to provide directionalities and seek prerequisites for the World Taekwondo Hanmadang(WTH) to become a world-class cultural and tourism festival. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, a total of 7 working-level officials related to the WTH and Martial Arts Festival were selected as participants in the study, and after examining the directionalities and prerequisites for the Cultural Tourism Festivalization of the WTH, the following conclusions were drawn. First, in order to make the WTH a cultural tourism festivalization, from the planning stage, balanced planning of competition programs and auxiliary events, the fixing of hosting areas, and the expansion of various programs and auxiliary facilities that can satisfy the desire to participate, also it should seek various promotional strategies to recognize the WTH to the general public. Second, for the WTH to be reborn as a cultural tourism festival, it will be able to expand and secure budgets that suit the festival's characteristics, specialized and efficient planning and operation through the permanent operation of the dedicated organization, along with the paradigm shift to Taekwondo festivals, it should encourage awareness and voluntary participation of the WTH through various promotional strategies.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 세계태권도한마당이 국정과제인‘태권도 문화콘텐츠화’사업의 일익을 담당할 수 있는 세계적인 문화관광축제로 거듭날 수 있도록 그 방향성을 제시하고 선결해야 할 과제를 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 세계태권도한마당 및 무술축제 관련 실무자 총 7명을 연구 참여자로 선정한 후 세계태권도한마당의 문화관광축제화를 위한 방향성과 선결과제를 살펴본 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다.
첫째, 세계태권도한마당을 문화관광축제화하기 위해서는 기획 단계부터 경연 프로그램과 부대행사의 균형 있는 기획, 개최지역의 고정화, 참여욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 다양한 프로그램 및 부대시설의 확대와 더불어 세계태권도한마당을 일반인에게 인식시킬 수 있는 다양한 홍보 전략을 모색해야 한다. 둘째, 세계태권도한마당이 문화관광축제로 거듭나기 위해서는 축제성격에 부응하는 예산의 확충 및 확보, 전담조직의 상설운영을 통한 전문적이고 효율적인 기획과 운영, 태권도 축제로의 패러다임 전환과 함께 다채로운 홍보 전략을 통한 세계태권도한마당의 인식 제고 및 자발적 참여를 유도해야 한다.
종합적으로 세계태권도한마당이 문화관광축제로 거듭나기 위해서는 균형 있는 행사기획, 접근성을 고려한 고정 개최지역의 선정, 일반 관광객을 위한 부대시설의 구축, 문화축제임을 인식시킬 수 있는 다채로운 홍보 전략을 모색함과 동시에 이를 구현할 수 있는 예산의 확보, 세계태권도한마당의 패러다임의 전환과 이를 인식시킬 수 있는 홍보전략 강화, 효율적인 기획을 위한 전문 상설조직의 운영이 선결되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.
