The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of sports club activities by high school students on their self-realization. The subjects were 257 high school students in Seoul, and the instrument used in this study was 23-item questionnaire that covered demographic characteristics with five items and self-realization with 18. Its reliability turned out to be 0.860. The descriptive data on mean and standard deviation were obtained, and ANOVA was employed. The findings of this study were as follows:
First, as for the influence of gender on self-realization, the girl students were slightly better than the boys at self-realization including confidence, faithfulness and sensitivity, except self-acceptance. Specific- ally, the gap between the two was significant in faithfulness.
Second, as to connections between school year and self-realization, the seniors outperformed the younger students in self-acceptance and confidence, and the juniors excelled the others at faithfulness and sensitivity. And the self-acceptance gap was significant.
Third, the students who joined sports clubs attained higher self- realization in general than those who didn't.
