馬王堆 帛書의 연구경향 검토: 『주역』,『노자』,『황제서』를 중심으로_프리프린트

국문 초록 (Abstract)

‘馬王堆’는 호남성 長沙市에서 동쪽으로 4킬로미터 떨어진 한적한 교외의 야트막한 구릉지대 명칭이었다. 하지만 지금은 장사시 안에 위치한 세계적으로 이름난 마을 이름이 되었다. 1972년부터 1974년까지 발굴된 세 개의 무덤에 마왕퇴 漢墓1,2,3호라는 이름이 붙여지면서 세계적인 명성을 얻게 된 것이다. 한묘 1호에서 거의 완벽한 모습으로 발굴된 2000여 년전의 미이라가 신호탄이었으며 뒤이어 많은 문물이 쏟아져 나오면서 ‘마왕퇴’는 엄청난 고고 유물을 가리키는 대명사가 되었다. 그 결과 장사시 인구가 5만 명 정도 늘었고, 변두리에 있던 보잘 것 없는 호남성 박물관이 매일 14000명의 관람객이 찾는 명소가 되었다. ‘북쪽에 兵馬俑이 있다면 남쪽에 馬王堆가 있다’는 말이 생긴 이유는 3천 여 건의 출토 문물이 지닌 귀중한 학술적 가치 때문이다.이것은 1992년에 열린 ‘마왕퇴국제학술심포지움’에서 ‘마왕퇴학’이 정식 용어로 승인된 것에서도 잘 드러난다. 마왕퇴 연구는 그 범위와 내용이 점점 넓어지면서 여러 학문 분야에서 수많은 성과를 냈지만 앞으로는 더 많은 학제적 연구를 요구하는 상황에 이르고 있다.

이 글은 마왕퇴 철학관련 유물에 대한 세계 여러 나라의 연구가 어떻게 진전되어 왔는지를 살피는 연구이다. 먼저 마왕퇴학의 의미가 무엇이며 중국사상사에서 어떤 가치를 지니는지를 살피고, 백서본 『주역』․『노자』․『황제서』․기타 자료를 중심으로 그동안 마왕퇴 관련 연구가 어떠한 경향을 보여 왔는지를 살펴보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The term ‘Mawangdui’ has been both a geographical designation which was a name of hill areas in the city Ch'ang sha of the province Hunan, and the scholarship to the new texts which were unearthed since 1972 at that areas. This paper focused to some trends of the scholarship of Mawangdui Silk Manuscripts, in particular, of the philosophical texts such as Yijing, Laozy, Huang-Lao silk Manuscripts, and etc. The main fields of the scholarship of Mawangdui Silk Manuscripts are philology, the history of art, medicine and hygiene techniques, astronomy and astrology, and so forth. Thus the studies of Mawangdui Silk Manuscripts are a good case that has been joined together many scholars of interdisciplinary passions. And the scholarship of Mwangdui Silk Manuscripts contributed to the study of early Chinese: First, an providing of new sources for the studies of early China; Second, the accumulated scholarship of them resulted in the turning point of the recognition of early Chinese culture, in particular, of the history of art and medicine.

In the sphere of philosophical studies of Mawangdui Silk Manuscripts has shed a new light on the studies of Yijing, Laozy and the Huang-Lao learning. Particularily, Yijing and Laozy Silk Manuscripts suggested that had been opened the gate to the problems of the contents and structure of Yijing, the formation date and school of Yijing, the oldest version of Laozy, the relation of Laozy to the Huang-Lao learning, the substancial contents and character of the Huang-Lao learning and etc.
