미술대학 졸업 후 대학원 석사학위과정 미술치료학 전공에서 수강한 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”에 관한 체험 연구 = Hermeneutic Phenomenological Understanding on Lived Experience of Supervision for the Students in Art Therapy Master's Course(Focusing on Bachelors of Art)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라의 미술치료학 대학원에 지원하는 미술학사들의 비율은 타 분야의 학사소지자에 비해 높은 비중을 차지하므로 미술치료 교육에서 가장 염두에 둬야 할 대상이라 할 수 있다. 이들은 대학과 대학원이 학문적으로 다른 분야에 속하므로 학습에서 사고의 전환이 요구되어 적응에 어려움을 겪는다. 특히 현장 전문가를 훈련시키기 위해 개설된 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”은 이론과 실습의 실제를 함께 다루므로 다른 교과목과 비교하여 적응하기 더 힘든 측면이 있을 수 있다. 이에 미술학사들의 교과목 수강 경험을 현상적으로 이해하고 학문적으로 제공하는 것은 수강자 중심의 요구반영으로 강의만족도를 높일 수 있으며, 미술치료사 훈련에 실제적인 도움을 주는 자료가 될 수 있다.
본 연구는 미술대학 학위자들이 미술치료학 대학원 석사학위과정에 개설된 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”의 수강 체험을 탐색하여 그 체험의 의미와 본질을 이해하는 데 목적을 두고 수행되었으며, 연구 참여자의 체험이 지닌 의미와 본질의 이해라는 연구문제에 따라 Max van Manen의 해석학적 현상학적 질적 연구방법을 사용하였다. 연구 참여자는 미술대학을 졸업하고 대학원 석사학위과정에서 미술치료학을 전공하고 있는 총 7명이다. 연구자가 2012년을 기준하여 조사한 바에 의하면 국내 22개 미술치료학 대학원 중 3개 학교가 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”을 3학기 이상 개설하고 있었다. 이 중 참여자 선정을 위해 서울시내에 위치한 2개 대학원에 접촉하였고, 보다 깊은 진술을 얻기 위해 최소 3학기 이상 수강한 자들로 제한하였다. 심층면담을 통한 자료수집 기간은 2012년 3월부터 2012년 11월까지로, 연구 참여자에 따라 1~3회, 자료가 포화되는 시점까지 면담하였다.
연구를 통해 9개의 본질적 주제와 28개의 하위 주제가 도출되었으며, 본 연구는 미술학사 학위자가 미술치료학 대학원의 석사학위과정에서 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”을 체험한 의미와 본질에 대한 결론을 다음의 다섯 가지로 정리하였다.
첫째, 미술대학을 졸업한 수강자들은 학년 초기에 학문적 접근법이 상이하여 적응에 어려움을 겪지만 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”에서 미술전공자가 갖는 장점을 발견하고 자신감을 회복한다.
둘째, 석사학위과정에서 개설된 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”은 담당교수의 치료철학에 따라 교과 운영내용, 강의 분위기, 교수와 수강자 또는 수강자들 간의 인간관계 등 매우 다양한 측면에 영향을 미치는데, 매 학기 담당교수가 바뀌므로 수강자들에게 늘 새로운 적응이 요구된다.
셋째, 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”은 매 학기마다 미술치료학의 이론과 실제 전반을 새롭게 이해하도록 이끌며, 학기가 올라가면서 담당교수에게 의존적인 상태에서 벗어나 미술치료사로서 독립적 태도를 지녀야 한다는 통찰을 갖게 한다. 결과적으로 수퍼비전은 수강자들이 미술치료 전문가로서 주도적인 태도를 지니도록 돕는다.
넷째, 수강자들은 수퍼비전에서 미술작업을 통해 치료사로서의 자기인식, 내담자사례의 이해, 다양한 대인관계 관점 등을 경험하고 실습 현장에 미술치료사로서 전문적인 접근을 시도한다.
다섯째, 석사학위과정의 교과목 “미술치료 수퍼비전”은 수강생들이 학문적 초반기부터 전문가로서 기초를 다지는 기회가 되는데, 실습과 동시에 교수에게 지도받으므로 안정적이며 경제적 부담을 줄이는 장점이 있다.
본 연구는 연구 참여자 선정이 2개 대학원에 그쳤다는 제한점과 참여자들이 교과목에 대해 지속적으로 적응하는 과정에 있어 수퍼비전 자체에 대한 깊이 있는 의미탐색에 한계가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to discover the meaning and essence of the experience of the supervision by exploring the experience of the subject of supervision for art therapy master's course to be an expert for art therapy. Through this, this study intends to be a basic material to make an education system by necessary for the training of professional art therapists.
This study applied Max van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenology and collected and analyzed materials according to study issues, based on which this study took the process of writing. The number of participants was a total of 7 and they took their diploma at art college and were taking 2 art therapy courses at graduate school; they have taken the subject of supervision for at least three semesters. Data collection period through deep interviews was from March to November 2012 and interviews were made from once to three times until the materials were saturated.
I could derive 9 essential topics and 28 sub-topics from their statements in these interviews. Conclusions of this study are as follows.
First, since the academic approach of counseling psychology and art is different, so Master's students of B.A.(Bachelor of Arts) have initially difficult at the beginning of the master course. However, through "Art therapy Supervision", they discover the advantages of art major, and restore the confidence.
Second, "Art Therapy Supervision" which is the main subject offered by the Master's course is dependent on the treatment philosophy of professor, so it will affect the various aspects such as the operation of curriculum content, the atmosphere of the lecture, human relationship between faculty and students or among students. In addition, the professor changed every semester, so it always is required new adaptation to students.
Third, "Art Therapy Supervision" leads to students to understand a new general theory and practice of art therapy per semester. In addition, while listening between multiple semester these subjects, students have the insight that must have an attitude of independent as an art therapist emerged from the state that rely on a professor gradually. As a result, this subject will help students to have a leading position as an expert in art psychotherapy.
Forth, Students took advantage of art in the classroom to recognize the themselves, to understand the cases of clients, experienced various aspects of human relations. As it was, they will be accessed with a specialized therapist at art practice site.
Fifth, "Art Therapy Supervision"is initially a purpose to educating the sides should be prepared as an expert in the field to students. Students is supervising stable from a professor with a practice at the same time. In addition, "Art Therapy Supervision"is economic benefits without additional costs because it is established the Master’s course.
