In this paper, the reactive power in the three-phase circuits is calculated with a new definition of the instaneous voltages and currents. This paper shows that not only a fundamental reactive currents but also harmonic currents can be eliminated by reative compensator without any energy source.
The compensation principle is verified by comparision with the results of digital computer simulation.
