자살 보도량과 심리적 변인이 대학생의 자살 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 공인 및 대학생 자살 보도 이용량 스트레스 충동성 자존감 계획행동이론 변인을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 대학생의 자살 문제가 사회적 이슈로 부각되었다. 이에 이번 연구에서는 대학생의 자살 의도를 결정하는 변인을 검증해보고자 했다. 선행 연구에 근거하여 자살 행위에 영향을 미치는 변인을 환경변인과 심리변인으로 구분했다. 환경변인으로는 언론을 통한 자살 보도 이용량[공인(연예인 정치인) 및 대학생] 스트레스 심리변인으로는 충동성 자존감 그리고 계획행동이론 변인 등을 설정하고 이들 변인이 대학생의 자살 의도에 미치는 영향을 검증했다. 서울과 경기 지역에 거주하는 대학생 254명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시했다. 연구 결과에 따르면 자존감과 무계획 충동성은 부적으로 운동 충동성과 태도 인지된 행위통제 변인은 정적으로 자살 의도에 기여했다. 공인 자살 보도 이용량은 부적으로 대학생 자살 보도 이용량은 정적으로 자살 의도에 기여했고 경제 문제에 대한 스트레스는 자살 의도에 정적으로 기여했다. 그러나 최종 단계에서 이들 환경변인의 영향력은 사라졌다. 즉 자살 보도량과 스트레스 등 환경변인은 심리변인에 비해 자살 의도에 미치는 영향력이 적은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 대학생의 자살 문제 해결을 위한 방안을 제언했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently suicide among college students has emerged as an issue from which this study set out to test variables to determine intentions for suicide among college students. Based on the previous studies the investigator divided the variables affecting the act of suicide into environmental and psychological ones. The former included suicide coverage by the press [public figures (entertainers and politicians) and college students] and stress while the latter included impulsivity self-esteem and Theory of Planned Behaviors. The influence of those variables on college students' intention for suicide was examined in the study based on a survey given to 254 college students living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. As a result while self-esteem and unplanned impulsivity had negative impacts on the college students' intention for suicide motor impulsivity attitude and perceived behavioral control had positive impacts on their intention for suicide. The coverage of a public figure's suicide had negative impacts on their intention for suicide whereas the coverage of a college student's suicide had positive impacts on their intention for suicide. Stress from economic problems also had positive influences on their intention for suicide. However the influential power of those environmental variables disappeared in the final stage. That is the environmental variables such as suicide coverage and stress had less impact on college students' intention for suicide than the psychological ones. Based on those findings the study made some suggestions to solve the issue of suicide among college students.
