This study contributes to the development of literacy and formationof literary readers by suggesting a literary education plan that usescuration.
Curation involves selecting texts, organizing, and sharing meanings.
Focusing on these curation characteristics, this study explores theeducational possibility of literature curation as a way for learners tointerpret and actively organize literature. Through this, the learner playsa role in creating and delivering the value of literature as a sender(curator), rather than just a receiver (reader). Furthermore, by sharingand spreading the value of literature through curation, we attempt tostrengthen our identity as literary readers, and build a virtuous cycle offostering readers.
Therefore, the researcher allowed learners to explore their tastes andconstruct curations using essays and mind maps. Through this, learnersexperienced a deepening of reading and the expansion of readership bydeepening text understanding, seeking effective message deliverymethods using a complex stylistic approach, and accepting variousperspectives. This approach suggests that it is possible to respond tothe literature crisis by developing literary readers and suggesting newdirections for literary education.
