      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

1n order to investigate the effect of feeding yeast culture (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pichia pastoris) on the performance of laying hens, a feeding trial was conducted with nine hundred sixty 32-wk-old ISA-Brown layers for 10 wk. The experiment consisted of six dietary treatments: T1, (control) basal diet; T2, chlorotetracycline(CTC) 50ppm; T3, yeast culture(Saccharomyces cerevisiae) 0.3%; T4, yeast culture(Pichia pastoris) 0.3%: T5, refined Pichia pastoris culture 0.1%; and T6, refined Pichia pastoris culture 0.3%. Birds in T3 or T4 showed significantly higher(P$lt;0.05) egg production and feed intake than those fed the other diets. T1, T3 and T4 had lower feed conversion compared to the other treatments. Egg weight was highest in T4 but lowest in T3 and T6. Haugh unit was lowest in T3. Eggshell strength was highest in T1 and lowest in T4. Dietary yeast culture slightly increased the chromaticity of eggshells but did not affect the color tone of eggshells. The hens fed yeast culture tended to produce less soft-shell and broken eggs compared to the birds of control groups, but the differences were not significant. Nutrient digestibilities were not affected by the dietary treatments. The results of this experiment indicated that supplementing yeast culture (S. cerevisiae culture 0.3%, P. pastoris culture 0.3% ) to the diets of laying hens improved the egg production and reduced soft or broken eggs, but supplementing refined P. pastoris culture had no beneficial effects.
