      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is an analysis of Zhu-zi`s interpretation and meaning of the `Faithfulness and Benevolence(忠 恕)` concept of Confucianism in terms of normative ethics. Zhu-zi distinguished `Faithfulness(忠)` and `Benevolence(恕)` as `Cheondo(天道)` and `Indo(人道)`·Bonche[體] and Jagyong[用]·One Fundamental [一本]·Different in many ways[萬殊]·Center(中心) and Yeosim(如心). From the viewpoint of ethics, Zhu-zi`s `faithfulness(忠)` is the ethical principle that takes the moral obligation according to `Li` as the moral principle with the meaning of moral order that morality is real and man should follow. And the `benevolence(恕)` is the ethical principle of moral act that not only does not harm others but also actively perform good and service for others as the concrete way of practicing the `aithfulness(忠)`. The ethical analysis of this `Faithfulness and Benevolence(忠恕)` shows that the Zhu-zi`s Philosophy is the form of deontological ethical theories about the standards of moral act. On the other hand, the Zhu-zi`s Philosophy is ultimately aimed at moving toward a moral being that fully realizes the ethical principle of `Faithfulness and Benevolence` through self study. This shows that, in terms of study theory, the Zhu-zi`s Philosophy is the ontological ethical theory of existence.
