노인의 노화인지 정도와 생활습관 및 건강상태와의 관계 = Relationship of Life Style and Perceived Aging of the Elderly on Health Status

This study was descriptive correlation study, tried to the relationship among health status, life style, and perceived aging of the elderly in small city area. Health status means that subjective health status and disease status of chronic and acute. Life style refer to the health maintenance method as well as the smoking and drinking status. The instruments of aging are divided into psychological and physical disability. The survey was conducted during Feb. 1988 using a home-visit interview conducted by the trained nursing students. The survey targeted the elderly aged 65 years or more older at home and in homes for the elderly in the urban area. The targeted 419 elderly selected by random sampling are showed that the significant factors for subjective health status were life styles and perceived aging factors. "Perceived aging factors of the elderly" is found to be lower than. that of good life style.
These results indicate that health promotion program of the elderly and development of medical services should be provided. And it is very important that elderly change life style.
