다문화가정 학생을 위한 글로벌브릿지사업 운영 및 효과- 제주대학교 글로벌브릿지사업단을 중심으로 = Management and Effects of Global Bridge Project for Multicultural Students - Focusing on Global Bridge Project of Jeju National University

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to introduce Global Bridge Projects supported by National Research Foundation of Korea and Global Bridge Project of Jeju National University newly selected in 2015. The aim of Global Bridge Projects is to offer a gifted education program to multicultural students for developing their potential abilities and raising them as global leaders. Global Bridge Projects are implemented in 17 universities and are divided into 4 fields such as Math•Science, Global leadership, Language, and Arts. Global Bridge Project of Jeju National University has offered an education program of Math•Science field to multicultural students living in Jeju province. Participants of this program were 23 in total. 17 of them were multicultural, and 6 of them were not multicultural. This program has been carried out for seven months. Mentoring program has been also implemented, and all of the mentors were elementary school pre-service teachers. Mentors established rapport with participants and helped them in class. The results of JNU Global Bridge Project are as follows. Three ideas invented by participants were submitted as patent applications to the Office of Patent Administration of Korea. Also, some of the participants won a Gold Prize and three Bronze Prizes in 2015 Creative DIY App Idea Contest. Mentors, researcher, and professors who participated in JNU Global Bridge Project recognized that multicultural students have potential abilities and can become global leaders if they develop their abilities.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글의 목적은 한국연구재단에서 지원하는 글로벌브릿지사업과 2015년 신규 선정된 제주대학교 글로벌브릿지사업을 소개하는 데 있다. 글로벌브릿지사업은 다문화가정의 학생들에게 영재교육 프로그램을 제공하여 그들의 잠재능력을 계발하고, 그들을 글로벌리더로 양성시키기 위한 목적을 가지고 있다. 글로벌브릿지사업은 수학•과학, 글로벌 리더쉽, 언어 그리고 예체능 등 4개의 분야로 나뉘어져 17개 대학에서 수행되었다. 제주대학교 글로벌브릿지사업단은 수학•과학 분야의 교육 프로그램을 제주도에 살고 있는 다문화 가정의 학생들에게 제공하였다. 이 프로그램에 참가했던 학생은 전체 23명으로, 다문화가정의 학생이 17명이고 비다문화다정의 학생이 6명이었다. 이 프로그램은 약 7개월 동안 운영되었고, 교육대학에 다니는 초등 예비교사들을 멘토로 활용하는 멘토링 프로그램도 운영하였다. 멘토들은 프로그램 참여자들과 정서적인 교감을 형성하고, 수업 시간에 그들의 학습을 도와주는 역할을 하였다. 제주대학교 글로벌브릿지사업의 결과, 프로그램 참여자들이 창안한 아이디어 중 3개가 한국특허청에 특허 출원되었고, 2015 창의 DIY 앱 아이디어 공모전에서 금상과 3개의 장려상을 수상하였다. 제주대학교 글로벌브릿지 사업에 참여했던 멘토, 연구원, 교수들은 다문화가정의 학생들도 잠재능력을 가지고 있고, 그들의 잠재능력을 계발시킨다면 글로벌리더로 성장시킬 수 있다는 것을 인식하게 되었다.
