영유아교육기관의 실외놀이 운영실태 및 교사의 인식 - 대구광역시를 중심으로 - = A Study on the Actual Conditions of Outdoor Play in Kindergartens and Childcare Centers and Teachers' Perceptions of Outdoor Play in Daegu City

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigates the current conditions and teacher's perceptions in kindergartens and childcare centers in Deagu city. Data was collected through a questionnaire presented to teachers on the conditions and content of outdoor play. One-hundred-ten kindergarten teachers and one-hundred-thirty childcare center teachers in Deagu city participated in this study. The results of the study are as follows. 91.8% of kindergartens and 82% of daycare centers have outdoor playgrounds. 85.5% of kindergartens and 66.6% of childcare centers have outdoor play time in their daily schedule. Most kindergarten and daycare center teachers perceived outdoor play as being very important in supporting children's social, physical, cognitive, and language development, but feel that they don't have enough play time in their daily activities. Teachers in kindergartens and childcare centers think that the most important daily activity is circle time, but that the most fun daily activity in which children participate is outdoor play. The most difficult point in running and managing outdoor play is safety and the most important problem to solve is having ample space for outdoor play.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대구지역 유치원과 어린이집의 실외놀이 운영 실태 및 교사의 인식을 설문조사를 통해 조사분석하여 영유아교육기관의 실외놀이 활성화 방안을 모색해 보고자 한다. 대구지역 유치원 교사 110명과 어린이집교사 130명 총 240명을 조사대상으로 하였다. 연구결과 유치원에 비해 어린이집의 실외놀이 환경이 상대적으로 열악하고 일과 운영 안에 실외놀이 시간을 따로 편성하지 않고 있는 비율도 높았다. 그리고 영유아교사들 모두 실외놀이가 영유아의 발달과 성장에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다는 것은 인식하고 있지만 실제로 현장에서는 충분한 실외놀이 활동이 이루어지고 있지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
