감성의 접속과 접속의 감성 = THE ACCESS OF SENSIBILITY AND THE SENSIBILITY OF ACCESS

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 최근의 사회 문화적 변화의 양상을 접속의 시대라는 측면에서 이해하고, 이전 시대와는 다른 문학적 감성과 상상력의 특성을 탐문하는 발견적 논의를 담고 있다. 제러미 리프킨이 제안한 접속의 시대란 산업 자본주의를 대체한 문화 자본주의 시대의 핵심적 특성을 반영한 용어다. 새로운 문화 경제를 구성하는 수많은 시뮬레이션 세계에 척척 적응하는 새로운 닷컴 세대들이 열어 나가는 접속의 시대는, 사회 경제적 패러다임뿐만 아니라 문화적 패러다임의 변화를 가져올 것이 확실하다. 문학적 상상력이나 감성의 변화는 물론 구체적인 커뮤니케이션 과정의 변화도 가져온다. 세계의 이념이나 맥락을 강조했던 1980년대 소설과는 달리 1990년대 소설은 주체/발신자의 주관적 감성이 전경화 되었다. 그러다가 2000년대 들어 그 주관성의 형질이 다소간 변하게 된다. 감성의 접속보다는 접속의 감성이 전경화되기에 이른다. 발신자보다는 접촉이나 코드가 주요한 요인이 된다. 이런 변화는 새로운 세대의 작가들의 작품에서 대체로 확인할 수 있는데, 그 중 김도언과 정이현의 소설들이 주목된다. 김도언의 소설에서 이야기라는 환상을 창출하는 핵심 통로다. 접속의 심층 무의식은 나와남, 주체와 타자의 접속 가능성 혹은 소통 가능성이다. 작가 김도언과 그의 소설속의 인물들은 접속을 통해 그들의 존재치를 입증하고자 한다. 그의 소설에서 주체와 대상/타자 관계는 접속의 상태에 따라 달라진다. 특히 그가 조여준 단속(쏜)의 감각은 접속의 시대의 대표적인 메타포라고 할 수 있다. 정이현의 소설은 이야기 층위에서는 소비사회에 접속하는 다양한 인물들의 여러 목소리들을 실감 있게 들려주면서도, 담론 층위에서는 그 접속의 풍경을 관조하고 반성하는 아이러니컬한 감각을 보여준다는 점에서 특징적이다. 그러면서 접속 시대의 풍경을 비판적이고 전복적으로 형상화하는 나름의 스타일을 보여준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper includes a heuristic argument to understand the aspects of recent sociocultural changes in terms of the Age of Access and to search out the literary sensibilities and the characteristics of imagination which are different from the ones of previous era. The Age of Access is a term used by Jeremy Rifkin, reflecting the fundamental particularity of the age of cultural capitalism replacing the industrial capitalism. It is obvious that the Age of Access, which is opened by the new generation so called " Dot Com: generation that adapts quickly to a number of simulation worlds making up of the new cultural economy, will be bringing about the turn of cultural paradigm as well as the one of socio-economical paradigm. The age leads the changes of the process of concrete communication as well as changes of the literary imagination of sensibility.
In comparison with the novels of 10980's that had an emphasis on the ideology or the context of the world, the novels of 1990's foregrounded the subjective sensibilities of the subject/addresser. Then, in 2000's, the characteristics of that subjectivity rather transform. That is to say, the sensibility of access rather than the access of sensibility comes to be foregrounded. The contact or the code better than the addresser becomes the major factor. We can confirm this kind of turn in the works of writers from the new generation. The short stories of Kim Do-eon and Jung Yi-hyun belong to the representative examples.
In the works of Kim-Do-eon, the access is a hold through which we pass to the fantasy called the story. The profound abyss of the access is the accessibility or the communicational possibility between ego and alterego, or subject and other. The writer Kim Do-eon and his characters try to prove their value of existence through the access. In his short stories, according to the conditions of the access, the relations between the subject and the object/other alter. Especially, the sense of disconnection he shows can be regarded as the outstanding metaphor f the Age of Access. The short stories of Jung Yi-hyun are remarkable if we consider the following two levels : on the level of story, we can listen to the numerous, lifelike voices of various characters getting access to the consumption society : on the level of discourse, she has an ironical sense to gaze at and reflects the scenes of that access. In addition, she shows her won style that represents the scenes of the Age of Access critically and reversely.
