An important task in curriculum is how to select content and how to organize them. The purpose of this article is to classify the types of curriculum according to the mode of organizing content. For the purpose of doning it, I try to fine out what the main content of each type is, how each type of curriculum organizes content, what effects each type of curriculum expects, and what kind of problems each type of curriculum has. In this article, I classified four types of curriculum and divided them into two or three sub-categories according to the mode of organizing content. The four types of curriculum which I classified are as follows. The first type is Subject Matters-Centered curriculum. This type of curriculum has Separated Curriculum, Correlated Curriculum, and Broad-Field Curriculum as the sub-categories. The second type is Experience-centered Curriculum. Activity Curriculum, Core Curriculum, and Emerging Curriculum are included in the second type of curriculum as the sub-categories. The third type is the Discipline-Centered Curriculum. And it is divided into the Spiral Curriculum and the Interdisciplinary Curriculum. The fourth type is Human Being-Centered Curriculum. The sub-categories of fourth type are Affective Curriculum, Open Curriculum, and Relevant Curriculum. The criteria by which I classified four types of curriculum are what they emphasize, how they integrate content, and how they develop learning experiennce. Although I classify the types of curriculum according to the above criteria, the difference is not always clear and there are some overlapping component parts among them.
