This study aims to examine the impact of achievement goal orientation of equestrian sports participants on psychological well-being and to explore the mediating effect of enjoyment factors in this relationship. The research was conducted with 280 equestrian leisure participants and the main findings are as follows. Firstly, it was confirmed that the achievement goal orientation of equestrian participants has a significant positive effect on enjoyment factors, observed in both ego orientation and task orientation. Secondly, the analysis of the impact of enjoyment factors of equestrian participants on psychological well-being showed that exercise effect and atmosphere have a significant positive impact on psychological well-being. Thirdly, it was confirmed that the achievement goal orientation of equestrian participants positively affects psychological well-being. In particular, task orientation was found to have a greater impact on psychological well-being than ego orientation. Fourthly, the mediating effect of exercise effect and atmosphere factors was confirmed in the relationship between achievement goal orientation and psychological well-being.
