      This paper investigates the long-term change in the diurnal temperature range of Jeju city by season.
      During the period from 1950 to 2019, seasonal mean diurnal temperature range of Jeju city exhibits a statistically significant decreasing trend in all four seasons: the rate of decline is greatest at -0.031℃/yr in autumn, followed by -0.025℃/yr in summer, -0.021℃/yr in spring, and -0.015℃/yr in winter. This paper also tests whether there is a onetime regime shift in the trend of the diurnal temperature range. Evidence of a statistically significant regime shift is found only in the spring, where the shift from a large declining trend regime to a modestly increasing trend regime took place in 1992. In the first regime, the decline rate of the spring diurnal temperature range is -0.033℃ per year, which is higher than that of autumn over the same period. In the second regime, the diurnal temperature range in spring increased at the rate of 0.006℃ per year, and this modest recovery is caused by slightly larger increases in the maximum temperature than in the minimum temperature.
