계절변화에 대한 예비교사들의 대안개념 = Preservice Teachers' Alternative Conceptions on Season Change

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 Lakatos 방법론에 기초하여, 계절 변화의 원인에 관한 예비교사들의 대안개념을 탐색하는 것이다. 매일 관측 가능한 천문 현상은 다른 과학현상과는 다르게 학습 전에 이미 자신들의 개념으로 견고하게 자리 잡고 있기 때문이다. 기존의 대안개념에 반하는 불일치상황을 두 개의 연속적인 실험들로 제시 하였고, 지필검사를 통해서 응답을 탐색하여 예비교사들의 대안개념 구조를 분석하였다.
예비 초등교사와 예비 중등교사 두 반을 선정하였고, 먼저 선행 설문지를 실시하여 예비교사들의 대안개념을 알아보았다. 선행 설문지 조사 후에, 불일치상황을 직접 체험하는 화성공전궤도 그리기, 지구크기 측정 실험을 실시하였다. 불일치상황이 표현되는 실험 후에 최종 설문에 따라 반응하는 예비교사들의 대안개념의 구조를 확인하였다. Lakatos의 발견법적 기준 틀을 기반으로 예비교사들의 계절변화 원인에 대한 응답 분석 결과, 태양의 남중 고도에 따른 계절 변화를 지구와 태양사이의 거리 변화(hard core)로 소위 "거리 이론"을 확인했다. 계절변화에 대한 개념변화 전략으로는 견고한 핵(hard core)인 거리 이론을 변화시켜야 된다는 것을 알 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to investigate teachers' alternative conceptions for the wrong view on the change of seasons based on Lakatosian methodology. Because they held wrong conceptions the changing them with right concepts on the astronomical phenomena owing to every day experiences, it appeared to be more obstinate than any other alternative conceptions. We examined the structure of preservice teachers' change of alternative conceptions change with different degree of resistance under two consecutive discrepant situations. For these purposes, we supplied them with some questionnaires in order to engender cognitive conflicts.
To carry out our objective of this research, we chose two groups of the preservice elementary teachers and preservice secondary teachers; (1) At first the structure of preservice teachers' alternative conception was examined through pre-test questionnaire; (2) After the investigation of pre-test, we gave a task to draw the revolution figure of Mars around the Sun, so that the Earth's radius might play a discrepant experimental situation role to reconcider them to be aware of their false view on situations. We identified the structure of the alterative conceptual response according to post-test after the discrepant situation experiments by comparing with their initial conceptions. Results of analysis of preservice teachers' responses about the causes of seasonal change obtained based on Lakatosian methodology showed that the "distance theory", played a role of the Hard core seen in Lakatosian research program: In explaining the seasonal change phenomena, preservice teachers were strongly dependent on distance variation from the Earth to the Sun.
We concluded that to change wrong conception. We must above all change of teachers erroneous "distance theory", the Lakatosian hard core in their mind.
