『용비어천가(龍飛御天歌)』의 재발견과 왕업(王業)의 재구성 = Rediscovered of Yongbieocheonga(Songs of the Dragons Flying to Heaven) and Reconstructed of King’s Accomplishments

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는『용비어천가』에 담지된 역사의식과 재간행에 관련된 점을 주목해서 그 의의를 기술하고자 하였다. 세종은『용비어천가』550본을 군신들에게 나누어 주었다 이것은『용비어천가』의 편찬과 반포를 통해 왕권의 정당성과 무궁함을 선포하려는 의도가 있었기 때문이다. 반면에 이러한 반포는 왕실의 비밀을 일반 백성들에게 알리는 결과를 가져왔다. 물론 태조, 태종 등의 업적을 정당화하려는 목적 하에 이루어진 것이나 그것을 보는 시각에 따라서는 개국과 왕위계승의부당성을 쉽게 알 수 있는 결과를 가져올 수 있던 것이다.『용비어천가』는 세종대 이후로 수차례 재 간행되었다. 흥미로운 것은 재간행 시기가 임진왜란 이후라는 점이다. 전란으로 국가의 주요 전적이 대부분 소실된 시점에서 제일 먼저 출판한 인쇄물의 하나가『용비어천가』였다. 간행시기도 광해군대와 효종대로서 임진왜란과 양차의 호란이 지난 뒤라는 것을 알 수 있다. 전쟁으로 실추된 국왕과 왕실의 위상을 재고하고 지배층의 통치력을 복원하려는 의도에서 재간행했다고 볼 수 있다.『용비어천가』를 이용하거나 언급한 시기가 영조, 정조, 고종대라는 점이 주목된다. 영조와 정조대가 왕조의 중흥을 위해 다양한 기념비적 사업을 거행하던 시기라는 점을 고려한다면『용비어천가』를 이용한 논의가 발생한 것은 당연하다고 볼 수 있다. 또한 개항을 앞둔 1874년(고종 11)에도『용비어천가』가 재인식된 것은 왕업을 다졌던 시기를 고종의 친정을 시작한 시기에 맞추어 연결하려던 의도라고 생각된다. 영조와 정조, 고종대에 집중적으로『용비어천가』가 정치 일선에서 활용되던 것을 통해 국가의 기념비적 행사의 강화나 중흥기에는 여지없이『용비어천가』를 이용하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이는『용비어천가』가 시대의 변화에 관계없이 사람들의 기억에 자극을 줄 수 있던 가사문학의 기능을 충분히 발휘했음을 반증하는 것이기도 하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper was to describe its significance to note that related to the carrying on “Yongbieocheonga” historical consciousness and re-published. King Sejong was divided into the 550 “Yongbieocheonga” This is due to the intention of proclaiming the legitimacy of kingship was through the compilation and distribution. On the other hand, has resulted in the mystery of the royal family to inform common people. Of course, King Taejo, depending on the time to watch it would aim to justify the achievements made under such Taejong who will get the results that may be easy to see the injustice of the countries and the throne. Most importantly, “Yongbieocheonga” was re-published several times since the King Sejong. The interesting thing is that after the re-publication period is called Imjin War. Major entirely in one country to war, most of the first published prints from the time that was lost“yongbieocheonga”. Published also as King Gwanghaegun for time and for Hyojong can see that after the last of the Imjin War and After invasion of Hukum. There reconsider the
status of the King and the royal family the loss of the war and see that it has re-published with the intent to restore the governance of the ruling class.
