Specially there are very new horizons appeared in epidemic, city, internal improvements, military, cinema, painting history. Also, traditional historical fields and historians such as diplomatic, politic, economic sections are not idled in their time away.
But there is one careless part of Korean historians not to communicate and reach a broader public through writing books. Traditionally, the outstanding American historians such as Daniel J. Boorstein, Arthur Schlesinger Jr., Stephen Ambrose, David McCullough, James McPherson, Richard White, Gordon Wood have explained American history to the general people. And so, Korean professional historians should enlarge their energy to search and reach general people through diverse meetings and lectures, and writing books.
