The precast segmental method(PSM) is one of the economical construction methods for the prestressed concrete bridges with high quality control. In this study, and investigation on the geometry control of the PSM was performed. It is an indispensable technology for the bridge construction by the PSM. For all that, it may be understood by the analogy of experience of some bridge engineers and ti may be still depending on the foreign technology for some domestic projects.
GEOCON was developed form this study. It is an interactive software to control the 3-dimensional geometry of precast segmental bridges during the construction progress. In this paper, the geometry control technology applied to the GEOCON was explained and the GEOCON's algorithm was discussed. Specially, this paper also performed the sensitivity analysis on the casting geometry of precast segmental bridges according to the occurring position of precast segment fabrication errors.
