      There are two perspectives on methodology of classical Chinese education studies. One is unilateral acceptance of teaching methodology and the other is the review to expand and improve methodology of classical Chinese education studies. This paper adheres closely to the later. I propose a system of classification in a discussion of methodology of classical Chinese education studies and present epistemology, a method, an object of study, a purpose of study and so on as a criteria of the category. This aims at the organic relationship to the purpose of study, the object of study and the research method. I look at the achievements in the meanwhile. The expansion of the research method application is noticed. The achievements of qualitative research are amazing. Making use of an integrated research method, I shed light on the current situation of classical Chinese education from various angles. Methods like item analysis, statistical analysis and think-aloud are new things. The kernel of the research method resides in a choice of suitable research method and a scientific application. A new prospect in the field of the research could be opened if proper research method was used. For this reason, a connection between two things is important. Ultimately, the focus of argument is down to an academic perspective on classical Chinese education studies. Under the viewpoint that Chinese literature is in a superior position to classical Chinese education studies and recognition that classical Chinese education studies is an integration of pedagogy and Chinese literature, the academic establishment will not be easy. Chinese literature and subject matter education are not divided up into Learning contents and method. As a researcher`s capability is high, learning contents will integrate with method in the field of classical Chinese education studies. At that point, its academic foundation would be possible.
