Skin tests witb 140 inhalant allergens and 120 food allergens were performed and the authors evaluated the peripheral eosinophil count, total and speciific IgE in 201 patients(bronchial asthma: 78, allergic rhinitis;45, combined;47, others;31) at the allergy clinic of Chonbuk National University Hospital The following results were obtained. 1) Mite or dust antigens brought positive reactions in 66. 1% of total patients, food allergens ir. 49. 2%, animal epjthelial in 45. 3%, poHens in 38. 8%, fungi in 25. 3%, bacteria in 15. 9%, insects in 15. 4%. 2) Dermatophagoides farinae antigen was the most frequent allergen, fol)owed by D. pteronyssinus, house dust, hay dust, cat fur, mixed animal hair, dog hair, egg and milk 3) The most different allergen group between perennial and seasonal group was pollens. (42. 7 % :73 5%) 4) There was close relation between total eosinophil count and skin test reactivity in the range of eosinophil count below 300/mm but no relation between them above 300/mm 5) Serum total IgE level was increased in allergic patients, but there was no relation between the IgE level and skin test reactivity. 6) There was close relation between the specific IgE antibody(D1,D2) and the skin test reactivity.
