      유아의 마음이론 발달과 가장놀이 및 언어의 표상수준, 실행기능과 중앙통합 능력과의 관계를 살펴보았다. 192명의 3, 4, 5세 유아를 대상으로 개별 면접을 통하여 마음이론, 언어능력, 실행기능과 중앙통합 능력을 평가하였으며, 대상 아동 초점 관찰법을 통하여 가장놀이 탈맥락화 표상 수준을 관찰하였다. 3, 4, 5세 연령에 따른 마음이론, 가장놀이 탈맥락화 표상 구준 및 언어능력의 발달, 실행기능과 중앙통합 능력의 발달적 차이가 나타났으며, 4세 시기가 마음이론, 가장놀이 탈맥락화 표상, 실행기능과 중앙통합 능력의 결정적 발달 시기임이 나타났다. 마음이론 발달과 가장놀이 탈맥락화 및 언어적 표상, 실행기능과 중앙통합 능력은 유아의 인지적 기능과 역할 차원에서 상호 상관 요인임이 밝혀졌다.

      To examine the relationships among theory of mind, levels of decontexualization of pretend play, language ability, executive function, and central coherence, one hundred and ninety two 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds were selected from 4 kindergartens located in the Seoul area. The children's performance on eight false belief tasks, PPVT, four executive function tasks, and two central coherence tasks were measured. Using the target-child-focused observation, the levels of decontextualization in pretend play were observed. The older children in this study demonstrated a higher perfoiniance of theory of mind, PPVT, executive function, and central coherence, and a higher level of decontexualization in their pretend play than did the younger children. As well, significant correlations were revealed among theory of mind, levels of decontexualization in pretend play, language ability, executive function, and central coherence, significant correlations were revealed.
