The mobile has been gaining in popularity recently and mobile users has experienced the mobile advertising affluently. The mobile differs from the traditional stationary Internet in that it can be used in a wider variety of contexts. However, little studies have identified the contexts in which mobile is used. This article proposes a model of mobile advertising attitude in terms of user context which is most important in differential characteristics of the mobile. Questionnaires have been gathered from 397 college students and graduates who is primary target segmentation of the mobile use.
The results indicate that information and entertainment has positive relationship with mobile advertising attitude, whereas irritation has negative relationship with it. Second, user context positively influences on information and entertainment, whereas negatively impacts on irritation. On the basis of these results, it is proposed that mobile advertising attitude can be enhanced when user context is considered for sending mobile message to consumers. This study identified user context as antecedent of information, entertainment, and irritation, as well as information, entertainment, and irritation work as mediator in mobile advertising attitude. This article concludes with implications for practitioners of the mobile and provides academic area with theoretical attribution.
