인문학적 리터러시의 의미와 교육적 함의 = The Meaning of Humanistic Literacy and Its Educational Implications

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to clarity the meaning of humanistic literacy and its educational implications. The humanistic literacy, concept unifying ``humanities`` and ``literacy``, means the literacy in the humanities. More specifically, it means the ability to read and write humanistic texts. The humanistic literacy pursue the critical thinking and experience as free men, telos of humanities. At the same time, it involves all efforts being done by educators to develop students` literacy for humanistic texts in order to make them critical and free thinkers. For secondary education, humanistic literacy has some educational implications. First of all it lets us understand the roles of humanistic eduction as initiation into ``the traditional practices``. Second, it re-states reading and writing education, which arc sometimes dealt with individually, in terms of concrete activities, through which it makes it possible the meaningful cycle of reading and writing. More over. it helps achieve one of the goals of secondary education. developing basic ability to gain an insight into tbe life in humanistic perspective. Third, it can be used as a guide for structuring educational experiences, helping teachers and students clearly understand educational goals and activities.
