전기 비트겐슈타인의 프레게 진리 개념 비판 = Early Wittgenstein's Criticism of Frege's Concept of Truth

국문 초록 (Abstract)

넓게 말하면, 『논리-철학 논고』의 진리 이론은 소위 대응 이론이다. “그림의 참 또는 거짓은 그림의 뜻과 현실의 일치 또는 불일치에 있다.”(2.222) 그리고 『논고』에서 ‘진리 개념’이라는 용어는 4.063과 4.431에서 단 두 번 나온다. 그런데 그 용어가 등장하는 곳에서 두 번 다 비트겐슈타인은 프레게의 진리 개념에 대해 비판하고 있다. 그렇다면 진리에 대한 프레게의 생각이란 무엇인가? 또 이에 대해서 비트겐슈타인은 어떻게 비판하고 있으며, 자신은 진리 개념을 어떻게 파악하고 있는가? 나는 이 물음에 대해서 『논고』의 4.063을 해명하면서 대답하고자 한다. 먼저 나는 4.063에 대한 앤스컴의 해석이 전혀 옳지 않으며, 오히려 그녀가 어떤 중요한 점에서 비트겐슈타인의 생각을 왜곡하고 있다는 것을 보이고자 한다. 또한 앤스컴, 블랙, 케니 등은 비트겐슈타인이 4.063에서 몇몇 사소하거나 중대한 오류를 범했다고 주장한다. 그러나 실수나 오류를 범한 것은 비트겐슈타인이 아니라 그들이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Broadly speaking, the theory of truth of the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus is, so to speak, the correspondence theory of truth. “In the agreement or disagreement of its sense with reality, its truth or falsity consists.”(2.222) And the term ‘the concept of truth’ appears only twice at 4.063 and 4.431 in the Tractatus where Wittgenstein criticizes Frege"s concept of truth. Then what is the Frege"s idea on the concept of truth? Furthermore, how does Wittgenstein criticize it and grasp the concept of truth? I will answer these questions by explicating 4.063 of the Tractatus. In the process of explicating, I will show that Anscombe"s interpretations of 4.063 are not appropriate at all, but she misrepresents Wittgenstein"s thoughts. And Anscombe, Black and Kenny insist that in 4.063 Wittgenstein committed some trivial or crucial fallacies, but I will show that it is not Wittgenstein who committed errors, but they.
