When there were damages caused by blood vessel occlusion or external factor in artery blood vessel, the part was cut off. To examine the effects on blood vessels in case of an end-to-side anastomoses with PTFE synthetic artery, each diameter ratio of artery blood vessel and synthetic artery was set to 2:1 and entrance range of the synthetic artery was set to 50 times of the diameter so that it could be a fully developed velocity profile and we put pulsatile flow to examine effects on blood vessel center line velocity profile, separation point and wall shear stress.
The periodic of pulsatile flow that we tested was 1 second. we examined wall shear stresses and separation points depended on the obtained data at intervals of 0.02 second. The highest value of wall shear stress was appear when the inlet velocity was maximum or minimum. And separation was occurred in those points. The highest value in the wall shear stress was occur in the vicinity of the anastomoses when the blood flowed back word that is, the minimum velocity.
