This Thesis is an overview on "Movement education". "Movement education" is a developing concept in physical education. It's advocator was Rudolf Laban. He stressed the fact that the body is the instrument through and by which people move and that each individual is endowed with certain natural kind of movement. Laban believed in exploratory movement and in a spontaneous quality in movement.
In recent years, Movement education program have become a part of elementary school program in the many developed nations. But our country have not yet imported it. Accordingly, this Thesis is an attempt to introduce "Movement education" to our nation. This Thesis included the origin, the nature, the neccesity, the objectives and the basic components and factors of movement education. In addition to these, included developing Movement program in each grade school, and teachers role in Movement education.
Hoped, this thesis will contribute to our nations physical education curriculum construstion and physical education instruction method.
