미래사회를 대비한 대학교양교육에 대한 대학생의 요구 분석－D대학교를 중심으로 = The Analysis on College Students’ Needs regarding Liberal Education for Preparing Future Society－Focusing on D University

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to analyze college students’ needs regarding content and management of liberal education to prepare for future society. A survey was conducted with 2,037 college students through Social Network Services. An analysis of the multiple responses showed that the most answered reply regarding the liberal education for future society was “interesting lecture content.” The most answered reply regarding the wanted education style was “practical knowledge learning based on actual experiences.” In terms of the need for the liberal education content and instruction method, the lectures regarding leadership and self-management ability were required the most. In terms of the curriculum by area, the most wanted instruction method in the basic education and the liberal education areas was lecture-centered method. Meanwhile, with regard to the most wanted instruction method in courtesy education, hands-on training was answered the most. With regard to the directional point of the liberal education, the most answered reply was “composition of courses that reflect the latest content referring period changes.” This study was conducted to find out what roles liberal education should take to develop students’ ability to cope with changing future society based on detailed research on the needs of college students taking liberal lectures. This study is meaningful as basic material for the construction of liberal education systems for future society.
