구조방정식 모형을 이용한 도심쇠퇴 현상의 영향요인에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Influential Factors of Urban Center Decline Using the Structural Equation Model

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우리나라 대도시 도심지역에서 진행되고 있는 도심쇠퇴 현상을 중요한 당면과제로 인식하고, 이에 대한 실증분석을 통하여 도심쇠퇴의 영향요인을 분석함으로써 도심쇠퇴 문제의 해결을 위한 정책적 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다.
이를 위해 대도시 도심지역의 쇠퇴에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하고, 가설적 인과관계를 구조방정식 모형을 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 도심쇠퇴에 영향을 미치는 요인으로서 물리환경적 요인, 도시경제적 요인, 사회문화적 요인을 도출하였으며, 이러한 요인들은 도심쇠퇴에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
특히, 도심쇠퇴의 영향요인들 중 물리환경적 요인 즉, 물리적 공간의 이전과 쇠퇴에 의하여 도심쇠퇴가 발생하기도 하지만, 본 연구의 결과 도심의 사회문화적, 도시경제적 쇠퇴요인이 더욱 심하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 도시공간은 물리환경적 요인, 도시경제적 요인, 사회문화적 요인 등 다양한 요인에 의하여 변화하고 있으므로, 도심쇠퇴를 물리적 공간 중심으로 인식하기보다는 사회, 경제, 문화 등 다차원적 공간으로 이해하고, 도심쇠퇴의 대처방안에 있어서도 다양한 접근이 모색되어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was performed to analyze the influential factors of urban center decline, which has been troubled in Koreas metropolises, through case analysis and to derive politic suggestion.
In line with these objects, the influential factors of urban center decline were researched and hypothetic relation was analyzed by using a structural equation model. As the result, it was known that physical and environmental factor, economic factor, and social and cultural factor have significantly had influence on the urban center decline.
In particular, the influences of economic, social and cultural factor were more remarkable in this study though urban center decline is influenced by physical and environmental factor, that is, the transfer of physical space. Specifically, urban space should be regarded as a multi-dimensional space mixed with social, economic and cultural factors because it is being continuously changed by such factors. Likewise, its countermeasure should be researched in such an aspect.
