The purpose of this study was to discuss on several myths and issues in Augmentative and Alternative Communication(AAC) early intervention through review of several researches. The conclusions drawn from this study were as follows:
First, it is never too early to introduce AAC into language and communication intervention for the young children with high possibility of communication disorder.
Second, four components have effect interactively in the language acquisition process of AAC use child. The four components are the nature of the AAC system, the linguistic knowledge and abilities of child, the role of the partner, and the nature of the communicative task and the instructional approaches employed.
Third, it is need to develop of intervention strategies for accepting multi-mode and facilitating the language acquisition process of AAC use children.
