This study is to analyze through empirical test the consumers ◎buying process that was proposed by G. Sproles in his General Model of the Consumers ◎Fashion Adoption Process. Female college students totaling 50 was chosen for the test and their adoption process of new fashion style and the purchasing process were asked by interview, questionnaire, and free description methods. The result of this study is as follows:
1. Sproles model describes the consumers ◎ buying process and can be a useful tool for confirming the relevant factors that forecast the new styles.
2. In the buying process of clothing, the consumers ◎main decision making factors are their physical profile, suitability to themselves, and aesthetic attributes of the clothing.
3. Consumers recognize the clothing by evaluating its aesthetic attributes in accordance with their psychological identity and the degree of social influences on them.
