Owing to the industrialization, the urbanization and the nature devastation, decrese of rural population, there are lots of fallows and abandoned farmlands in Korea. Using these fallows and abandoned farmlands, Korean government tries to create the ecological parks for the nature conservation, amenity, education and research.
In this study, Mt. Worak National Park was selected for the mountainous rural type as a case study site. Emphasizing on various wild-life habitat restoration and creation, butterfly as representative species was chosen and established the plan of restoration and creation of the wildlife habitat to offer opportunity learning the diversity of wild life and the importance of the environment.
