The purpose of this study was to investigate difficulties experienced by divorced parents in child-rearing and relevant contextual factors. Sixty-one on-line counseling cases were quantatively and qualitatively analyzed to identify problem areas and their family dynamics. The results indicated that "custody arrangement issues and noncustodial parent-child relationship" were the most frequent counseling issues, followed by the issues of explaining parents divorce to children, coping with behavioral problems of children, burdens child-rearing of by custodial parents, and the relationship between children and step-parents. Subsequently, more detailed descriptions on counseling cases were presented. Also, incidents that have led to the initiation of counseling were described in detail. This paper attempted to offer implications regarding divorced parents to prectitioners.
