또래상담 운영이 또래상담자의 자기평가와 학급응집력에 미치는 효과 = The effects of the peer counseling training and activity on the peer counselor’s self-evaluation and class cohesiveness

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the peer counseling training on peer counselor's self-evaluation and of the effect counseling activity on class cohesiveness. The effect of different number of peer counselors on class cohesiveness was alos explored. The subjects of this study were 40 students who recommended by classroom teacher from the 1st graders in a middle school in Daegu. Both sexes 20 out of 40 students were selected randomly as a experimental group, and the other 20 were as a control group. The results of this study were as follows. First, the peer counseling training had an affirmative effects on peer counselor's social competence and conduct behavior subscales in the self-evaluation scale. Second, the peer counseling activity had an affirmative effects on environment atmosphere and communication subscales in the class cohesiveness scale. Third, score on the environment atmosphere, morale, and communication subscales in the class cohesiveness scale showed significant differences among the clsses that had different number of peer counselors on the number of peer counselors.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 또래상담 훈련이 또래상담자의 자기평가에 미치는 효과와 이들의 또래상담 활동이 학급 응집력에 미 치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 중학교 1학년 여섯 학급에 속한 남․여 학생들로서 또래상담자로 활동할 자질이 있다고 생각되는 학생 40명을 담임의 추천을 받아 선정하였다. 이들 중 실험집단에 배치된 20명 의 학생들에게 15주간에 걸쳐 또래상담 훈련을 실시하였으며 이들 가운데 또래상담 활동에 응하기로 한 12명의 또래상담자들을 세 학급에 배치하고 또래상담 활동을 하도록 하였다. 연구에 사용된 측정도구는 자기능력 지각 척도와 학급응집력 척도였다. 자료분석은 사전-사후 검사에서 얻은 점수를 가지고 중다공변량분석 (MANCOVA)을 실시한 후, 사후검증을 실시하였다. 그리고 또래상담자의 수에 따른 차이를 알기 위해서는 중 다공변량분석 (MANCOVA)을 실시하였으며, 유의미한 변인을 찾기위해 사후검증을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과 는 첫째, 또래상담 훈련를 받은 또래상담자들의 사회능력과 품행에 대한 자기평가가 향상되었다. 둘째, 또래상담 자들의 또래상담 활동으로 학급의 환경분위기와 의사소통이 향상되었다. 세째, 학급에 배치된 또래상담자의 수 에 따라 학급의 환경분위기, 학급원들의 상호신뢰, 사기, 의사소통에서 차이가 있었다.
