The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship among the fathers` attitudes of child rearing, the self-esteem and children`s problem behaviors. This study hypothesized that father`s attitudes of child rearing had influence on the child`s self-esteem and problem behavior. The result of this study is as follows. First, there was positive correlation between the father`s child rearing attitude and children`s self-esteem. `Affection` factor of the types of child rearing altitude of father had the highest correlation with self-esteem of children. Second,`autonomy`and`achievement`among the child rearing attitudes of father showed the correlation with the problem behaviors of children. As a father gave autonomy to his child, child`s problem behavior decreased and when the father`s attitude emphasized the child`s achievement, the problem behavior increased. However, a father`s affectionate attitude explained the child`s problem behavior best. Third, there was the negative correlation among all sub-domains of children`s self-esteem and children`s problem behavior. Child`s self esteem for schooling showed the highest negative correlation to the problem behaviors.
