한국 “판” 문화론의 구성을 위한 통섭적 시론 = An Essay on the Korean “Pan”-cultural Studies Constructed by Consilience

The purpose of this essay is to explore every ways of korean “pan”-culture. The pan is a cultural concept, which consists of ritual behaviors, symbolic and cultural actions, artistic gestures, and collective desires. Also it is a socio-historical idea and phenomenon towards the future, which reflects the history of Korea, such as changes in activities of individuals and family, community, society and nation. It is known that culture exhibits the way that humans interpret their biology and their environment. Likewise, the key points of this study are focused on the several concepts of biology(exactly, morphic resonance or morphic field), psychoanalysis, cultural studies, and folklore. To start with, this study will examine the existing definition of pan. The pan can be defined in various ways such as spatial, social, political, and discursive aspects. However, the concept of the pan is not only the activities and physical spaces in which is taken places, but also holistic cultural behaviours derived from the life styles, religion, and hierarchial society. As no such concrete definition can be drawn from the current theroy, this study will construct the system of korean cultural theory by combining two main streams in korean literatures by analyzing folklore, namely gut-pan, sori-pan, nori-pan, pan-sori, pan-noreum, and pan-gut. Furthermore, this study is to explore the conditions and means of pan with trans-disciplinary methodological tool, or consilience. Hopefully, this study is a milestone to develop the concrete coevolution(dual) theory between sociological behaviour and psychological behavior.
