King Sejong opened the golden period of court music in his reign(1419~1450). That is, he developed institutional norms of 『Oryei(五禮儀)』 of five ceremonies: happy ceremony, bad ceremony, military ceremony, reception ceremony and auspicious ceremony. He reorganized various kinds of ritual music which were intended to admire military and literary achievements, morning assembly music, social visit music and entertainment music. It was enough to open the era of balance between the sky and the ground. Therefore, this study focused on the introduction of 『Yulryeosinseo(律呂新書)』 in the King Sejong`s period and its effect on reorganization of court music. It was believed that『Yulryeosinseo』was included in『Seongridaejeon(性理大典)』he brought when he returned home from Ming as an appreciation delegate in November 18, 1419. Then,『Yulryeosinseo』was an guideline to speculate subtle and delicate reason of music theory. As well, it was confirmed that it had a great influence on making court music instruments and organization of musical tones of court music.
