초등학생의 가정폭력노출과 또래폭력의 관계 = The Relationship Between Exposure to Domestic Violence and Bullying Among Elementary School Student

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 가정폭력노출의 경험이 또래폭력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여, 초등학교 5,6학년 336명을 대상으로 부의 모에 대한 폭력, 모의 부에 대한 폭력, 또래폭력의 가해와 피해경험을 분석하였다.본 연구의 결과 10～30%의 아동이 부의 모에 대한 폭력에 노출되었으며, 대부분의 아동이 또래폭력의 가해와 피해를 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 아동이 가정폭력에 많이 노출될수록 또래폭력의 피해경험이 많아질 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.이는 가정에서의 약자가 학교에서도 약자인 또래폭력의 희생자로 연장될 수 있다는 것을 보여주는 것이다. 즉, ‘폭력의 피해’도 순환될 수 있으며 가정폭력의 문제가 가정밖으로 확대될 수 있다는 점을 시사해 주고 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between exposure to domestic violence and bullying. The subjects were 336 students from 10 classes of the 5th and 6th grades in the elementary school. The study investigated father to mother violence, mother to father violence, bullying, and victimization of bullying.According to the results, about 10-30% of children were exposed to father- to-mother violence. And most of the children reported experiencing bullying and victimization. Exposure to domestic violence impacts on the victimization and bullying experienced by children at school; exposure to domestic violence was associated with higher rates of victimization. Thus, the cycle of victimization may start at home but may then continue at school.
