국문 초록 (Abstract)

신임 경찰공무원은 대체로 경찰조직의 특징인 계급적 조직생활, 급박하고 위험한 현장에서의 신속한 대응, 자신의 생각과는 다른 경찰에 대한 국민들의 태도, 다양한 사건들을 해결하기 위한 노하우 등으로 업무에 적응하는 데 많은 어려움을 가지고 있다. 따라서 신임 경찰공무원들이 경찰조직에 효과적이고 빠르게 적응할 수 있도록 도와 줄 수 있는 조직적인 지원체제가 필요하다.
이 연구는 지구대ㆍ파출소에서 근무하는 경찰공무원들을 대상으로 멘토링의 기능이 경력몰입과 팀웍에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다.
이에 다음과 같이 연구결과가 도출되었다.
멘토링 기능의 경력개발 기능, 사회심리 기능, 역할모형 기능은 경찰 공무원의 경력몰입 및 팀웍에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미친다는 것이다. 즉, 멘토로부터 제공되는 멘토링의 기능을 높게 지각할수록 그 직원의 경력몰입과 팀웍이 높아진다는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

New police officers generally have difficulties in adaptation on the works to solve people's attitudes and various cases about other police officer unlike their thoughts to hierarchical organization characteristic of police organizational life in the urgent and dangerous scene. Therefore new police officers need to get the organizational support system to help them allow efficient and quick adaptation in police organization.
This study has found out police officer working in the police station can effect the mentoring functions to cause their career involvement and teamwork..
This study was derived as follows: Career Development function, Psychosocial function, Role Model of the mentoring function can have an effect their career involvement and teamwork to be on the bright side. In other words, the more highly perceptive functions of the mentoring, the more highly their career involvement and teamwork increase.
