노인범죄 증가에 따른 원인과 대응방안에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

노인 인구의 증가와 더불어 빈곤이나 질병 또는 고독사로 인한 다양한 문제가 나타나게 되었고, 국가나 지방자치단체는 여러 사회복지 정책을 내놓고 있는 실정이나 아직 미흡하다. 노인범죄는 최근 10년 사이 강력범죄 위주로 증가함에 따라 이에 따른 시급한 대책이 필요한 시점이다. 이러한 노인범죄의 근본적인 원인은 노년에 경제적인 빈곤으로부터 시작하여 가족과의 불화를 통한 1인 가족구성의 증가 및 노년의 우울증을 동반한 정서적 변화 등 심리적인 원인이 가장 큰 것으로 파악된다. 또한 노인들은 욕구 불만족이나 심리적 불안정한 요소들이 많기 때문에 범죄의 유혹에 빠져들기가 쉬운 특징을 가지고 있으며, 현대 의학의 발달로 이들은 우리가 생각하고 있던 노인이 아니라 정신적으로나 육체적으로 건강하고 활발한 사회생활을 영위해 가는 노인들도 많이 증가하였다.
이에 본 연구에서는 현대사회에서 나타나고 있는 여러 노인문제 중 노인이 범죄 가해자가 되는 노인범죄를 특정하고 그에 따른 사회·문화·심리적인 문제를 비교·분석·연구하여 국가나 사회가 대응할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는데 중점을 두고 앞으로 노인범죄를 감소시키고 이들에 보다 더 안정적이고 평화롭게 노후를 영위할 수 있는 정책을 제시하고 개선시켜 나가고자 한다.
